Southern California Entrepreneur, Robert Allen, inspires with adventurous spirit and active lifestyle, proving age is no barrier to success.
Robert Allen, a world traveler and Southern California native, grew up with a taste for adventure and a keen eye for business. His entrepreneurial journey saw both triumphs and setbacks, but each experience contributed to his growth as a business leader. Despite occasional failures, Allen's determination and willingness to learn propelled him forward, shaping him into a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio.

Allen is always being active either with Pickleball or being outdoors. “Staying active keeps me from stagnating…dying,” said Allen.
From successful ventures to valuable lessons learned, Allen's path reflects his resilience and adaptability. With a global perspective and a passion for innovation, he continues to navigate the ever-changing landscape of entrepreneurship, driven by the belief that every challenge is an opportunity for growth.

(Right photo) Robert and his Wife Ke moved to Bowling Green in 2011 when his wife accepted a position at Western Kentucky. “My wife is the Yin to my Yank. We were destined and love each other deeply. Having a supportive partner makes everything exponentially better,” said Allen.

In 2007, Allen ventured south to Tucson, Arizona, where he crossed paths with his future wife, Ke Peng. Over the course of four years in Arizona, their relationship blossomed, laying the foundation for their shared journey ahead. Then, in 2011, Peng seized a promising opportunity, securing a position in the Chinese department at Western Kentucky University, prompting the couple to embark on a new chapter in their lives in the heart of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He is a seasoned expert in boosting revenue and facilitating business sales. With over 15 years of experience, he has been instrumental in guiding business owners, CEOs, and sales leaders towards scaling and enhancing their organizations. He is the founder of Acme Advisors & Brokers, a top advisory firm focused on helping entrepreneurs sell their companies for maximum profit. With a wealth of experience, Allen assists business owners in developing effective exit strategies to ensure successful transactions.
Allen has been instrumental in building sales teams and overseeing projects worldwide. With his creative flair, he's launched several businesses, including Fit Old Man, KY Pickleballers, and Pickleball Brief. Each venture showcases his entrepreneurial drive and ability to turn ideas into successful ventures. Allen has been instrumental in building sales teams and overseeing projects worldwide. KY Pickleballer Series was held from November to February where people of all ages came to play Pickleball. “I took a clinic, and I was hooked,” said Allen.
“I don’t know why I love Pickleball so much, It is a weird sport.”
(Left photo) He created the KYPickleballer.com where they have clinics as well as the 2024-24 Winter Pickleball Series where they played indoors every Monday and Thursday from November to February. “In a short period of time, my friends and everyone in my life started to talk about Pickleball ,” said Allen.

(Right photo) He directs and teaches lessons with all ages of kids and adults to help them better understand the game of Pickleball. Allen became addicted to Pickleball when he started to play. “I became addicted and couldn’t stop,” said Allen.
Fit Old Man aims to rejuvenate individuals and promote an active lifestyle, striving to transform both bodies and mindsets. Meanwhile, KY Pickleballers is dedicated to fostering the growth of pickleball in Kentucky, encouraging everyone to stay engaged and healthy through the sport.

Additionally, Allen co-owns Pickleball Brief, a startup focused on assisting businesses in establishing their own pickleball clubs or facilities. Through podcasts and newsletters, Pickleball Brief also works towards expanding the reach and popularity of the sport, contributing to its wider adoption and enjoyment.

Despite his busy schedule, Allen remains committed to excellence and community service. Currently, he's working on establishing a private pickleball club in the Bowling Green area, aiming to provide a dedicated space for enthusiasts to enjoy the sport. Through this initiative, Allen seeks to contribute positively to the community while further promoting his passion for pickleball.
As he is juggling various responsibilities, Allen finds joy in both running and pickleball. His active lifestyle serves as an inspiration, proving that age should never be a barrier to pursuing one's passions and achieving goals. Through his own example, Allen encourages others to embrace the mindset that it's never too late to pursue what brings them fulfillment and happiness in life.

Top rated Pickleball player Will is taught by Allen through lessons at Basil Griffin Park. Allen will continue to teach and play Pickleball as long as he lives. “I see myself doing it for a long time,” said Allen.
He continues to have an active lifestyle throughout his life to serve as an inspiration for others not knowing what to do in life. Fit Old Man gives motivation to individuals and promotes an active lifestyle, striving to transform both bodies and mindsets.
